George Dominique Zezzos (1883 – 1959) was born in Venice. A versatile artist, he was able to turn his hand to paint oils of genre subjects,  still lifes, landscapes as well as portraits and nude studies. In France he exhibited at the National Beaux Arts Academy as well as the Paris Salon des Independents, whilst his work was also shown in exhibitions in Florence, Milan and Turin.
